RETEX: feedback WTM in Guyana
Very well balanced, excellent grip.
Faultless cutting quality however after three months of heavy duty use, requires sharpening as the blade edge starts to suffer, slight marks.
the black kraton covering suffered slightly when cutting metal but nothing alarming, alternatively blade very strong and protected
Sheath tested on strap of chest Tasmanian tiger rig MKII and blackhawk instructor belt.
fastening rivet of sheath slightly too big and "sharp", so watch you don't cut your fingers. I flattened them down a bit myself.
sheath + knife on chest strap, weight fine, can’t even feel it. Excellent!
the elastic wrist strap broke, replaced it with a paracord ring, just right to hook on to notch on the sheath.
Put the WTM to the test for 3 months in the tropical forest climate of Guyana, clay-like mud, dust, 24H rain, cutting tarpaulin, cord of all types, 3 mm sheet metal, various plastics, wood, etc.
Great knife.
