Wonderful knife 20-04-08

I just wanted to write you a quick note and say how wonderful the knife worked this spring....I shot a turkey opening day of the season (picture attached) and the knife worked perfectly on cleaning and preparing the bird....

It is a fantastic tool to have with me, and I NEVER step into the woods WITHOUT it. I have used it to chisel several cedar arrows from tree stumps, without breaking the arrow. Thank you so much for the confirmation email message. I am very much looking forward to receiving the knives. I am an archer and a bowhunter, and I use traditional archery equipment (wood longbow, wood arrows). I was reading some postings on a website called "Stickbow's Leatherwall", and one of the archers was from France. He said this was the strongest, most well designed knife he's ever seen. I did a search on the internet and found your website. I am very impressed with the details, photos, and descriptions on your website. I really like the demonstration videos (building an overnight shelter, and starting a fire). I think your products will also make very fine gifts for my relatives who do archery and hunt. If my nives arrive safely and are as fantastic as they appear on your website, I'm certain that I will be placing more orders in the future. Thank you again for selling me the knives and shipping them all the way to California for me. I can hardly wait to see them.

Témoignage d'Yvan BUCHMANN (guide de chasse à l'arc au Québec)

J'ai utilisé ce couteau durant un séjour de chasse et de vie dans le bois au Québec de deux mois, porté à la ceinture tous les jours, de 6 heures du matin à 21 heures.
Tenu par le pommeau comme le préconise son inventeur, son poids et son éqpuilibre permettent de trancher jusqu'à des tailles relativement importantes avec la même efficacité qu'une hachette. Il m'a été facile de fendre des bûchettes d'érable pour refaire des barreaux d'échelles.

Dés les premiers jours, je constatais que son utilité machette était très efficace. Après cette longue séance de taille de résineux, la lame avait changé de couleur. Après une semaine de gros travaux, je n'avais toujours pas besoin de le réaffûter.

Premier test de Préparation du gibier sur un cerf de Virginie. La lame du Wildsteer n'est pas pointue mais tellement tranchante que je peux aisément pratiquer une petite fente dans l'oreille de l'animal pour y fixer le coupon.

Le dépeçage, casser un os, désolidariser une articulation, ouvrir la symphyse pubienne seront des jeux d'enfant grâce à la lame solide et au large pommeau sur lequel on peut prendre appui ou taper.

J'avais au départ un peu peur pour le cuir du manche recouvert de sang et de gras mais il supporte parfaitement tous les lavages.
Je n'ai retravaillé le fil du tranchant qu'après trois semaines d'utilisation intensive, en passant quelques aller-retour avec un mini affûteur de vigneron.

J'avais l'habitude de dire que ce qui est moyen pour tout n'est bon pour rien. Avec ce couteau, je reviens sur cette idée ; le Wildsteer est exceptionnel. Poids, résistance, équilibre, qualité de l'acier et de sa coupe, polyvalence, il est surprenant. Ni trop grand ni trop petit, ni trop léger ni trop lourd, il trouvera sa place pour la chasse, la randonnée, pour bricoler, ou à côté de votre assiette à l'heure du repas.
